Martial Arts membership payments

Martial Arts membership is a recurring monthly payment scheduled for the 1st of each month, unless the academy has agreed another monthly payment date with you. Alternative dates are approved individually by the academy. New memberships started between payment dates require a prorated payment at checkout for the time until the first scheduled monthly payment. The full monthly price is then due on that date and each month thereafter. Where no partial period remains, the full monthly price is payable at checkout. The exact joining amount is confirmed in secure payment. Cancellation requires one full billing month of notice, aligned with your agreed payment date. Cancelling on that scheduled date uses the newly paid billing month as your notice period. Cancelling after it means the next normal monthly payment remains due, and membership ends when that following paid billing period ends. For the standard 1st payment date, a payment scheduled for 1 September followed by cancellation on 9 September means the normal October payment remains due and membership ends on 31 October. For an approved 5th payment date, billing periods run from the 5th through the 4th of the following month. Contact the academy if you need help with your membership or payment date.

Digital programmes and instant access

Paid digital programmes may provide access immediately after payment. Before checkout, customers are asked to request immediate supply and acknowledge that cancellation rights may change once digital content is supplied. This does not affect statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise protected by consumer law.

“Yours for life” and one-off payments

Some products, including Imposter Freedom and Warrior Dad, are offered for a single one-off payment described as “yours for life”. This means access for as long as John McKean Academy continues to operate that product and the platform it runs on — it is not a promise that stands independently of the academy itself continuing to exist and function. If a product or the wider platform is ever discontinued, retired, or the academy is no longer able to operate it (for example because of John's death or incapacity, insolvency, or a technical failure that cannot reasonably be recovered from), reasonable notice will be given wherever practical, and affected customers will be offered a fair remedy such as a data export, a transfer to a successor platform, or a partial refund reflecting how recently the purchase was made. This does not affect any statutory rights customers have under consumer protection law.

Warrior Dad launch pricing

Warrior Dad's published launch offer is applied automatically at checkout, with no code required. It is not limited by purchase counts or allocation tiers. The offer remains active until the academy changes it; the current payable price is shown before payment. If the advertised offer cannot be verified, checkout is temporarily unavailable rather than charging a higher price.
