Anxiety & Overthinking
Panic, social anxiety, driving anxiety, constant worry—or a mind that simply will not switch off.
Feel calmer, safer and more in control of your thoughts and reactions.
Hypnotherapy for anxiety, confidence & performance · Paisley & online
You may look capable and keep getting on with life. But anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt or pressure can quietly take over—especially when something matters most.
I help you uncover what is driving the reaction, change the pattern beneath it and build a calmer, more confident response.

Which one sounds most like you?
The situation may be different, but the experience is often the same: you know what you want to feel or do, yet something inside keeps pulling you back. More information rarely fixes it—the work is to find where the pattern began and update it.

Two ways to start
Choose 1-to-1 if you want direct, personal support shaped around your history and you are ready to take part in the change. Choose a self-study programme for a focused, private first step you can begin today.
Clarify the problem, how it affects your life and the outcome you want.

“You are not broken. You learned a pattern that once tried to protect you. Now it can be updated.”John McKean

Real people. Real shifts.
“Everything clicked. I was just pure, relaxed playing rugby. I was in my flow state.”
Individual experiences vary. Therapy and coaching support your change; they do not guarantee a specific outcome.
Hypnotherapy and mindset work can change a great deal. Being straight with you about its limits is part of doing it properly.
If you are receiving treatment, taking prescribed medication, or have a condition such as epilepsy or psychosis, talk to your doctor before starting - and tell John, so the work can be shaped around it.
The discovery call is where John asks what is happening, what support you already have and whether this is the right fit. If it is not, he will say so and point you somewhere better.
If you are in crisis or worried about your immediate safety, this is not the right first step. Contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123 at any hour. In an emergency, call 999.
